You can choose any genre as long as it is a minimum of 200 pages and is on your reading level. Don’t choose something that you will have extreme difficulty understanding (and then lose interest and don’t want to finish) or something that is much too easy for you. It cannot be a book that you read for your summer reading assignment or something that you have read before. After you have made your selection, you must inform your parents of this decision, and have them sign this permission slip so I know they are informed of your choice and approve of it.
